Adobong Tahong (MUSSELS)

                    Abodong Tahong (mussels) - Filipino Recipe


                                          Ingredients:
                                          450g mussel meat
                                          3 cloves garlic
                                          2tbs soy sauce
                                          2 tbs white vinegar
                                          4 pieces dry bay leaves
                                          1/2 tbs whole peppercorns
                                          1/2 tbs toasted garlic
                                          2 tbs cooking oil
                                          salt to taste

Heat cooking oil in cooking pot/pan

Put in crushed garlic and whole peppercorns. Cook until garlic turns light brown.
Add mussels. Stir & Cook for 2min

Put in bay leaves, add soy sauce and 1tbsp of toasted garlic. Let it boil. Simmer for 5 - 7 min.

Pour in vinegar. Let liquid reboil. Stir and then cook for 3min. Add salt to taste.

Serve hot and top with remaining toasted garlic.
